    Description

    The 500 Spanish peseta banknote highlights the Galician and Spanish poet Maria Rosalia Rita de Castro. Its obverse side features de Castros profile and the Spanish coat of arms. Its reverse side features the Casa Museo de Rosalia (House Museum of Rosalia de Castro) in Padron and a handwritten excerpt of Rosalias Galician poem Follas Novas (New Leaves). The note has a flowering tree branch registration device, green solid security thread, and a watermark of Rosalia de Castros head. The note is 129 mm long and 70 mm wide.
