    Description

    The Spain 2,000 Peseta banknote was released by the Bank of Spain in 1980. The banknote has color combinations of red, green, and orange. Its obverse depicts an image of poet Juan Ramon Jimenez and the coat of arms of Spain. The back of the note displays the town hall in Moguer which was the birthplace of Juan Ramon Jimenez. It also bears a handwritten fragment of his poem Baladas de primavera'' or Spring Ballads. The banknotes security features include a registration device in the form of a rose, a solid security thread, and a watermark that reflects a portrait of Juan Ramon Jimenez. Additionally, the note also carries the signatures of Rendueles, Palazuelo, and Urdiola. This paper bill comes in uncirculated condition.
