  • Condition: I would grade this banknote as a nice very fine or much better with all the details being very well preserved. The note has a heavy central vertical crease and a light fold adjacent to it. It also has a light horizontal fold. It is clean with minimum soiling and no stains. The note still retains some of its original crispiness but has some wrinkling and roughness at the center of all four edges at the end of the folds/creases. The note has no pinholes, no graffiti, no tears, and no splits. The corners show bumps, some soiling and rounding. A nice very fine banknote to add to your collection.     Description:
    A beautiful crisp good very fine or better Banknote from Spain. This is the 15 August 1928, 25 Peseta. The banknote has brown and blue coloring on multicolor under-print. It depicts the image of Pedro Calderon de la Barca, the famous Spanish poet and writer, to the right and a monument in the center of the front. The banknote displays the date and the denomination on the front and only the denomination on the back. The back depicts a religious comedy scene in brown on a lilac and blue colored background. It has three signatures on the front. This particular note has the serial number E2.415,959 which is displayed on the front once but four times on the back. The paper of the note is light and the note still retains some of its original crispiness. The note has a water mark showing a woman's head to the left on the front. Based on the serial number this is the Second Republic issue. Please carefully review the scan presented as it is part and parcel of our description.
